Ms Chantal Dwyer joined the CHE in 2003 and is currently working as researcher in the Advice and Monitoring directorate.
Ms Dwyer has an M Phil in Political Management and a BA (Political Science and English) from the University of Stellenbosch. Before joining the CHE, she was an intern and research assistant at the Western Cape Legislature and the Information Services Research Unit at Parliament. In addition, she conducted a study analysing the demographic breakdown of complainants as well as the nature of complaints at the South African Human Rights Commission in Cape Town and completed her Master's assignment based on "Immigration and intolerance in South Africa, 1990-2001".
Her academic interests include both qualitative and quantitative research methods particularly analysing trends and developments and statistical analysis. She also enjoys listening to music, reading and travelling.
