Mr Kgomotso Legari is a Manager in the Quality Promotion and Capacity Development Directorate. Before being promoted to the position of Manager, he was employed as Project Manager within the same directorate. He holds the following qualifications: B Paed degree, majoring in Science Education; BEd (Honours), in which his area of focus was Educational Management and Leadership; and MEd, with Science Education as his area of specialisation. During the course of his Masters degree, he conducted a research project which focused on the teaching of physical science in rural under-resourced secondary schools. He is currently registered for a PhD in Education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).
Before joining the HEQC, Mr Legari was employed by the UKZN, where he served in several leadership and management portfolios at both school and faculty levels. He was also previously involved in a project which focused on the future of higher education collaboration in KwaZulu-Natal. He joined the HEQC in July 2007. |
